How do I keep my Good Dog collar clean?

If you want your Good Dog collar to be kept for best, try to avoid using it when you know your pup will be getting extra muddy or salty. Just like any leather collar, if it does get salt water on it, it will need to be cleaned. 

A rinse with some gentle hand soap and cold water should do the trick. Avoid scrubbing too roughly though. We treat each collar with waterproofer before shipping. You may want to give it an occasional refresh if you have waterproofer on hand. 

 

What's this about limited editions?

We design each collection with loveable dogs we meet along the way in mind. Colours are inspired by cheeky playful pups, kind and gentle souls, and people pleasers who love to hear "good dog!"  

Collar collections come in fresh, seasonal styles, that change with each release. You can count on there always being a multicolour, a pastel, and a traditional design with each release. 

 

Is the Good Dog Collar made from real leather?

Yes, indeed. And tough, stainless brass fittings too. The soft leather makes them a comfortable choice for your dog to wear full-time. 

 

How do I know what size to order?

Measure where your dog's collar naturally sits, with the tape measure close against its neck. Then see where it fits in the size chart. Note: The collars have allowances for a two finger gap, so they fit comfortably. All you need to worry about is your pals neck measurement. If your dog is on the cusp of two sizes we suggest going up to the larger size. If you have any questions about sizing, we are happy to help.

Small should fit the average: Jack Russell, Bichon, Cavelier King Charles & similarly sized breeds
Medium should fit the average:  Beagle, Border Collie, Boston Terrier & similarly sized breeds
Large should fit the average:  Labrador, Visla, Boxer & similarly sized breeds

 

What about my tiny dog? He's a good dog too!

The Good Dog Collar fits great down to foxie/jack russell size! Check our size guide to see if a Good Dog collar will fit your pooch. 

We love tiny dogs too! Unfortunately, our own little chihuahua misses out on wearing a Good Dog collar. Production requirements for embroidering the leather means it's not feasible on leather widths under 2cm. In future we hope to introduce something just as special for the extra little guys.

How long will it take for my collar to arrive?

We try to ship all orders the following day. For New Zealand orders, shipping usually takes 1-2 days. So allow 2-5 days from ordering, depending on your address.

 

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is $5 in New Zealand,  $10 to Australia, and $28 Worldwide. All fees are in NZD
